BIO

Born to a loving family in Little Rock, Arkansas, Ceci Cee-Catheryn had a perfect, little, easy-going childhood, consisting of play-dates and camping adventures, trips to museums and heavy metal concerts, Saints V. Falcons football games, RV road-trips, and Sunday School. But as she grew older she noticed her mother’s health was in steady decline.

Following her mother’s long and painful passing, Ceci’s attitude towards the world, her religion, and her future became much bleaker. Her confidence diminished with her dream of becoming a STEM professor — in a world booming with new technology — as her father’s debt skyrocketed and her family’s dynamic changed.

In high school, Ceci spent most days in her room reading or behind a computer screen. She felt different from everyone else, unable to “fit-in” as she hated most 1990s fads (except pogs).

She worked at the same diner as her father, taking first-shift as he took third. It was the, in a low moment of retaliation, her bottled-up emotions finally spilled out: She did something so horrid, she would regret her decision forever.

As a member of the League of Time-Travelers, Ceci isn’t exactly sure what she wants to contribute. But she hopes to travel the world and learn something new each and everyday.

PERSONALITY

Nerdy. Needs to stay busy or else she “can’t function.”

Loves video games, especially point-and-click RPGs.

Book-smart thanks to her photographic memory.

Prefers a small, tight-knit friend circle.

Often found deep in thought.

Embodies grunge with her attitude and wear. Keeps her hair short and is considering dyeing it “blood-red.” Hates being seen wearing her “big, clunky, barf-inducing glasses.”

Sleeps little.

Tends to listen to music with headphones too loud. Has permanent ear damage.

Timid but easily angered.

Talks to herself. Wins debates with strangers in her head while showering.

Tends to look at the bigger picture.

Strives to learn something new every day.

MESSAGE BOARD

Q1) What’s your biggest accomplishment?

A1) I read The Lord of the Rings trilogy in a week, all while listening to Deftones albums. That was rad. I also wrote some computer games on my PC, including a more complicated version of Tetris. I think I was listening to Korn while writing that. So yeah, either one of those.

Q2) Given your background, do you feel a responsibility to advocate for social justice?

A2) I’m not sure how to answer this, I’m sorry.
