Marcus Wachira is a writer, artist, and engineer from Lititz, Pennsylvania. He began writing Be Bold, a forthcoming, 500-page time-travel novel with a biracial protagonist during his junior year of high school. He was inspired by various musicians (Duran Duran, Mötley Crüe, & Logic) and visual artists (Patrick Nagel, Dennis Mukai, & Hajime Sorayama) to write and create original artwork for his story.

While attending Boston University and majoring in Mechanical Engineering, he published various sections of Be Bold in BU’s Chimaerid Literary Magazine, winning the Best Literature award. He also organized his very own 1-on-1 college classes to enhance his writing abilities, discovering the Sci-Fi works of Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov, and Octavia E. Butler.

While studying abroad in London, England, Marcus wrote a prequel to his novel: The Lashe Contingent has since become an 100-page novella available for purchase on Amazon.com. It focuses on the villain of the Be Bold Series, detailing his discovery of time-travel before he turns “evil.”

In his free time, Marcus loves listening to music, running, messing around with Photoshop, watching Philadelphia Eagles football (Go Birds!), and spending time with his family and yorkie puppy named Scout.
